Criminal Law encompasses not only traditional criminal offenses, typically attributed to individuals, but also Economic Criminal Law, which includes, in particular, white-collar crimes and offenses arising from competition law, environmental law, and the infringement of industrial and intellectual property rights. Although Cavaleiro Machado & Associados is primarily oriented toward providing legal support to companies, as companies are made up of people, we have a team of lawyers fully capable of acting in all areas of Criminal Law. This includes press-related crimes, violations of image rights and of honor and reputation, as well as judicial challenges to administrative offenses — whether related to road infractions or other matters, regardless of their origin.
